I’m an architectural engineer working on urban and building design decision support using dynamic simulation tools and conducting climate environmental analyses.

My Current Research

I’m a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Department of Architectural Design, History and Technology, Faculty of Architecture and Fine Art at NTNU (Norwegian University of Science and Technology) in a Smart Energy-Efficient Cities Research Group.

My ongoing research projects are aimed at developing new technical solutions and strategies for urban planning

Past Research Activities

  • I developed a research on Solar Urban Planning: the results of my research were discussed on a dissertation entitled “Solar Potential and Microscale Climate Interactions in Urban Areas: Design strategies and use of dynamic simulation tools for optimizing the urban form and developing a sustainable solar design”.
  • In 2012 I became a member of the International Energy Agency Task 41 Team “Solar Energy and Architecture”, and later on also in Task 51 “Solar Energy and Urban Planning”.
  • I have published several papers and articles on solar access analyses and simulations, sustainability, and renewable energy topics. You can find them within my publications.
